I like the clock with bright screen with the big letters and words. I think my mum can see more clearly and it will help her to be more aware of her days and appointments.
I bought this dementia clock and dozed off a lot during the day, which left her confused about what time of day to either not take her pills, double up on them, or alternate pills in the morning and afternoon. I was a bit worried that she would be offended when I got it for her, or that she wouldn't use it. But she was actually very grateful that I bought it for her and said it was very easy to use and very useful. This day clock provides all-day time awareness and there are no claims of ageing, memory loss or dementia to be found on the packaging. It facilitates self-independence and a renewed sense of dignity for older people.
Because the full day, month and day of the week are clearly written out in bold capital letters. This, combined with the possibility of adjusting it to your preferred colour, makes it easier to read for older people with impaired vision or colour recognition difficulties. And because this alzheimers' clock is the only one of its kind to include a remote control, it can be operated more easily by remote control.
